Distracted. I am completely distracted over the tragedies happening in our world. I have watched hours of videos of the floods here in Texas. Overwhelmed by the sadness, destruction, and unbelievable lack of humanity.
Children who suffered unbelievable fear before they drown or could have been hit by a tree or house. It’s one of my worst fears. Im an extremely great swimmer, but I have no power over rushing, rising water, or the power of currents.
I was taken out to sea by a current, nearly into the arms of 100s of black sharks. Someone had to rescue me. Horrifying.
I know those sweet angels are in the arms of Jesus.
So many children survived and will forever be haunted by this time. Trauma changes you forever.
Parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, adult children, husbands, wives….gone forever. Those who survived will also be haunted forever. Trauma changes you forever.
Humanity is kindness, compassion, empathy, and sympathy. Where is your humanity? Some of you on both sides have lost it.
It doesn’t matter one iota if you are a Christian or an atheist, a Republican or a Democrat, an illegal alien or a citizen, a black person, white or brown or yellow, prolife or pro-choice, straight, gay, Trans or pronouned. If it was modified weather by humans or an Act of God or both.
In the eye of the storm, people, many people, have lost their lives or their families. As humans, we should have a common decency.
The crux, the puzzling, difficult problem now seems to be Good vs Evil, it always has been. However, more magnified today, we have lost sight of what is good on all sides. All sides.
My heart weeps. I am distracted. I am sitting on the cusp, the APEX, the edge, and I can’t stop watching and praying for humanity, kindness, and compassion to rise.
I truly love all people. I am a lover of Jesus, and I might not agree with you, but I will continue to love you regardless of our disagreements. Jesus came for the whole world.
I John 2:2
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Today, I will focus on loving others, drinking coffee, sharing my faith, writing, and swimming in the chaos of this lost world. Will you join me in the crux, and let’s find our humanity again?
Dear heavenly Father, God above. Thank you for loving us in our absolute mess of a world. I pray for your grace and mercy. Help us to find you as a nation again. Help us be your light in this world, pointing people in love to your saving grace and gift of eternal life.
Stay Beautiful,
Susanne
